Director Cordray is scheduled to be a panelist at the Financial Inclusion Forum to be held in Washington, D.C. on December 1, 2015. Hosted by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Agency for International Development, the forum is intended to “explore ways to foster greater access to safe and affordable financial services for everyone.” Director Cordray’s panel will address “How Government Can Support Financial Inclusion.”
The forum will also include a panel on “Financial Inclusion: Financial Services Industry Perspectives” that will feature four industry representatives, and a panel on “Market Solutions to Expand Access to Safe and Affordable Products and Services.” Among the scheduled panelists for the forum’s panel on “Financial Inclusion to Advance Global Growth and Equality” are Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew, Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase.
